Policies

Registration

There will be an annual, non-refundable registration fee of $45 per student or $60 per family at the time of registration.

Tuition

Payments should be made by automatic withdrawal from a bank account or credit card. Please contact us directly if you have any questions regarding automatic withdrawal.

Tuition will be due on the 1st of every month.

There will be a $10.00 late fee added to any account that is not paid within five days of the billing cycle.

Tuition is predetermined by the annual cost of dance education and is divided into 10 monthly payments. Because of this, we do not credit, refund, or pro-rate for partial months of training.

Tuition email reminders will be sent monthly, and all families will have access to their account on our parent portal.

Tuition payments will be non-refundable and non-transferable.

A $30.00 fee will be assessed if the bank returns a check.

Recital & Costume Fees

Each class will have a costume fee due in November. $75 (child size) or $80 (adult size). These costumes will be sent home with your student prior to picture day in May 2023. All tuition must be up to date to take costumes home.

There is a $130 recital participation fee. You may pay this in full by September on your portal, or in two payments between September and November.

This participation fee does not apply to the competitive team, as they will have different fees for competition costumes and entry fees.

Inclement Weather

AMAD will follow the Anne Arundel County Public School System for closings due to inclement weather. Therefore, if Public Schools are closed, AMAD will be closed. If weather permits, we will hold rehearsals during the competition season.

We do not adjust tuition due to inclement weather as we have built several inclement weather days into our calendar year.

Health Precautions

We ask that all students be dropped off and picked up for the health and safety of the students. We will have a parent watch week in December where all parents are able to come and watch the entire class and see the costume they will be wearing in the 2023 recital!

We ask that any students showing any symptoms of sickness please stay home. That includes fever, sore throat, cough, and any cold/flu symptoms.

Dress Code

Parent and Me- No dress code requirements for Parent and Me class.

Creative Movement: Solid leotard, pink or flesh colored tights, pink or flesh colored ballet shoes or white t-shirt, black leggings or shorts, black ballet shoes.

Combo Classes: Solid color leotard, pink or flesh colored convertible tights,

pink or flesh colored ballet slippers and tap shoes.

Ballet Class: Appropriate dance leotard, pink or flesh colored tights, pink or flesh colored ballet shoes, pointe shoes if applicable. Or, white or black dance shirt with black tights or shorts and black ballet shoes.

Tap: Appropriate leotard and tights or leggings and tap shoes.

Jazz: Appropriate leotard and tights or leggings and skin-toned jazz shoes or black or white shirt with black dance pants or shorts.

Contemporary/Lyrical: Appropriate leotard and tights or leggings or black or white shirt with black dance pants or shorts.

Acro- Appropriate leotard with tights/leggings or tight shorts. Or a white or black shirt with black shorts.
